I have left this outside with bubble wrap insulation around the outside of it to help control the temperature of the water .But i also don't get as cold as you do .I have had this tank since 2014

If you check tractor supply online you can see the price ,plus I used the coupon from them that gave me 10% off also .She had to order hers to the store and it was no extra shipping charge .The reason ebay sells them so high they are heavy as heck .Shipping is expensive

Hey why don't you just get a bunch of blocks and build it above ground and put a liner in it? Build it to the size and shape you like.
Laying the felt underlayment. We had two pieces of felt. We had to figure out the best way to install the pieces so they covered the entire area.

This is another shot of the felt underlayment installation.

This is the 18' x 10' sheet of 45 mil EPDM rubber liner. It was surprisingly heavy.

Filling the pond. This is the time to fix any creases in the liner.

Here, the pond was filled, and the cap stones were in place. The next day we placed the field stones around the outside edge of the pond

We finished placing the rocks along the edge of the base of the pond, and covered the area near the grass with mulch.

Tractor supply website list 110 gallon as largest. The 250 gallon would be perfect.I must be doing something wrong.

After reading @j.w 's post above and doing some refined Google searches, I am finding that zinc can be harmful to fish, although there are a lot of different opinions and "tests". Some recommendations are for galvanized steel tanks sealed with epoxy paint, or I as I remember someone mentioning earlier, using a liner.
