Ours are bare root too, just tucked them between some rocks. They did find their way TO the soil outside the pond though, so they will definitely grow either way.
Oh, yeah. Forget-Me-Not grows anywhere & everywhere, although I've found that its favorite places are either in quickly moving water (bare root tucked into rocks along the sides of our waterfall) or anywhere in the ground outside the pond that a seed lands or a little piece breaks off & drops. It digs up & transplants beautifully, though, so if it does start wandering around where you don't want it, it's not a problem.Ours are bare root too, just tucked them between some rocks. They did find their way TO the soil outside the pond though, so they will definitely grow either way.
I am so glad to hear this because I really like this plant and am hoping to have it spread and survive winter
Awesome news...thanks!oh it will. You are in VA like me and my forget me nots actually stay somewhat evergreen in the winter.
