addy1, I wanted to provide you with an update on my progress. I followed your recommendations and I think I am having some success! Is there anything else I should be doing at this point? I did add fertizlier tabs a few weeks ago.
Yeah! looking good! I saw you added fertilizer, you might burn the leaves a bit.

Best not to fertilize until you get several leaves staying above the water. If you fertilize too early, you can kill off the leaves.

@addy1 provided me with some great recommendations. Now that Fall is setting in in PA., my Lotus plants that are in the pots are dying off. (I didnt get any flowers this year either, but I wasnt surprised). I was going to store these in my garage for the winter. What do I do? The garage is not heated. Do I drain the surface water from the pots? Do I keep the water in the pot and cover to prevent freezing? Any recommendations would be appreciated. I really want success in the Spring.

You need to keep the tubers covered with water and make sure they do not freeze. If your pond is deep enough, you can put the lotus in a deep section of the pond along with the lilies.

Thank you. Unfortunately, I cannot put lillies or lotus in my pond. My Koi have gotten large and whenever I place a pot at the bottom of the pond with large stones, they still are able to work until the dig them out. LOL! I will place them in my garage where it is cold and cover them to avoid having the water freeze. When should they be put in the garage? I assume anytime before it gets very cold?

I do the same wait for a hard frost, right now lilies still blooming, frogs singing, and I am way behind on my fall clean up.

Thank you for the recommendations!!!
Addy1- Hello and happy spring! You provided me with some great recommendations last year. A few more questions! :) I stored my Lotus in pots, with water and covered with a blanket to avoid freezing. Now that Spring is here, what do I need to do? When will I know if the Lotus survived? They are still in the garage. I really hope I can get flowers this year. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
