Where have the fish gone?

Well, I feel like a bit of a fool. It turns out that the water must get cold enough for them to have a long winter rest. After the first few days of spring 14 of the fish have come back up to feed and feel the sun. I will certainly know for next year.
I will also take your advice on clearing out the leaf mould and ensuring there is enough water movement too, Dave.

Nick hey at least you learned about catastrophic Oxygen Depleteon at the same time and how to aviod it and that the bottom is going to get a darn good clean to boot , remember for future reference that pond and filter maintenance are a total must in fish keeping otherwise disease and COD could become a reality in future my friend
