I just read about it and it does also remove chloramines. Lots of cities are adding that to their water as well as chlorine, but you're covered either way.City water has chlorine use stress coat to remove it

No, but a component -- tannins -- that may have been in the soil would.Filter has a bell fountain. Would heat tint water brown?
I think the soil caused the tinted water....maybe put a little in a bucket of water and see what happens. I am just not convinced the soil is what caused all the fish to die. It could be a combination of the soil and high temps / low O2.Filter has a bell fountain. Would heat tint water brown?
