If you want to do a salt treatment I recommend doing a bit of research and apply the proper dose. Simply dumping a teaspoon into some unknown amount of water requires a lot of luck. If the salt level isn't enough it isn't effective against many issues. Too high and you further stress the fish.
The same with increasing the KH. Going a bit high is not much of an issue but going too low isn't much help. Adding a little, testing, and repeating can take a long time and is tedious. You can get a better idea for the initial amount by doing a few simple calculations. You still need to retest, but probably way fewer times than guessing.
