@Angel His son of course used to be our Seattle hero here in Washington for the majority of his career! How neat you got to meet his dad and get your photo taken too. Does he live in SNJ or just visiting?

I have over wintered all my plants since 2004 some may not make it but most do and then hanging baskets get hung back up on the front deck and plants in the house go back out there also .I am just cheap and hate to kill anything .

I just got in the pond to pull out the dead Umbrella Palm, I can't feel my hands they're so frozen! That sucker was not potted and it sure put up a fight, had the roots anchored tightly into the side walls, do dwarf UP posed to do that?
brrr I need a hot chocolate if I'm to go back out there

Holy schnickeys @Gemma? Where are you? We're in the same zone and it's 31 degrees here! My pondless waterfall and my patio pond froze overnight... let's hope it warms up next week so I can get those fish out and pull the pump! :wideyed:

I live in MI
Lol my HZ fluctuates depending on which site I'm reading some say 6, some say 6a some say 5b....I changed it a few times then decided to go with the 5b so at least I'm safer than to assume it's warmer, or so I thought
The pond isn't frozen but there is ice on plants and where the water splashes....trust me it is freezing!
