Some chickens I hear lay eggs all year long , my 3 hens stopped in the Fall when they started molting, and have not lay since. !'m not sure if they will lay again when it warms up, this was my first year having chickens
My parents chickens laid year round .My mom would send me out every morning to collect eggs and check on the chickens .Dentist tomorrow for a cleaning and then some errands while I am there .Got up to 74 degrees today and got 1 lawnmower in the shed when I had the time to move it
Extra Freezing cold and wind chills down well below minus 45 below zero. Too cold for my sweet fat Rio, she can make a "p" on the diaper pad at the back door... Her little feet will freeze solid in this weather!
Minus 31 Degrees Celisus right now!! That is 25 Degrees BELOW Fahrenheit! Going to have glass of wine in greenhouse and listen for frozen outside noises like cracking and creeking noises you can hear in extreme cold. Plus NOBODY can sneak up on you in this weather because the LOUD crunchy squeeky snow will give them away!! Ha ha ha
Now as it post this it is -34 Celsius {-29 F} and still dropping as we are expected to get even colder tonight. Will be up for a while as it's SCARY COLD !! Windchill values down below minus 45 !!!
We had a light rain last night at midnight and now looking cloudy out but no rain but it is a warm 63 degrees .But sun is coming through the woods behind the house .Have to go to the dentist and run some errands .Only a cleaning so hopefully home early so I can work outside .Called the guy for stone and he will be here next week .All I can hope for you guys is that you get some warmer weather soon .
Wow Colleen, that video takes me back to the late 1960's when we lived in Edmonton. But then I had no fish or plants, I was just a kid in school. I remember skiing when it was way below 0. Not sure I could do that now. Hope it gets warmer, and soon, for you up North.
