For January, it's pretty darn nice. I just wandered out to the pond which hasn't even frozen over yet. The fish are in suspended animation right at mid-level in the pond. Christmas is over so we don't need any snow. We've had lots and lots and LOTS of rain. Just keep it in the mid-40s and I'll be happy til March!

Am I delusional? Probably. After all, I am in Chicago-land!

The fish are in suspended animation right at mid-level in the pond.

Mine are swimming around and nibbling on the plants. The pond is 44 today the air is 44 today. And heading back up to the 50's again.

goes from rain to 60 degrees to rain to 60 degrees ,We have so much rain that ground is squishy like a sponge .But I did reseed my lawn and fertilize it for spring and fertilized fruit trees .This seed I got at rural king and it comes up thick and has no weed seeds in the mix .I put some down 3 weeks ago and it is really coming up and is drought and heat tolerent

My niece and her boyfriend are now up in Seattle as nurses working at the hospital and they are living in a camper they bought with their 2 tiny dogs .You may see them JW somewhere up your way

@sissy What hospital? Seattle is about 50 miles or so away from us. Never go there unless some kind of need to go to one of the specialty hospitals for care. Swedish hospital and U.W we have been to. Lots of homeless people camping out near where the hospitals are located. You can see the tents and garbage from the freeway. Seattle is looking pretty ugly in some areas now. I'm sure your niece will tell you all of what she sees there. It is awful!
Send your niece up north for a visit to where we are to get a nice breath of country air,lol!

We had record warmth yesterday, 56°F

I think we still have a day or two of 40's before we drop back down to 20's and 30's.

It's been gorgeous @JBtheExplorer ! Good thing too, since my pump plumbing let loose this week and I need a nice day to put it back together. (Currently exploring ideas for fishing the piece of the connection out of the bottom of the vault that fell off when I pulled the pump!)
