My pond update:

It is about the size of a bathtub, constructed of antique bricks and abuts a brick retaining wall.

Contents: Fantails and Helvola Lilies. ( an occasional ribbon snake )

It occasionally springs a leak, which is a huge hassle to remedy, as it requires putting fish in a makeshift pond ... finding leak ... repairing leak ... refilling and conditioning the water.

The good news is that there is no new leak right now ... so I'll just muck out the dead leaves and fish poop ... do a little water exchange ... add a plant or two and call it day.

The fish are all awake ... and happy for treats !!!

Little turtles are so cute. I have an itinerant terrapin that comes through my yard a few times each summer.

My pond has been so neglected recently. Have a 5-year-old and wife and I are both in the middle of big career shifts.

It’s like pants-on-fire every day around here just trying to keep everyone fed and the house relatively clean!
