We had a total of 6 storms yesterday with heavy rain .Drive way looked like a stream .Times when I am glad my pond is above ground .Fish are out looking for food this morning .

The wet and gloom looks like our area today (and lots of other days) but not that much rain, just showers @sissy

I went out in the driveway and water was running so fast it took my feet out from under me .It has been raining more than ever before here .Bridges is flooded out over to my sisters so if I have to go over there I would have to take the long way over .Which is over 10 miles longer

Yea the storm was very bad!! I guess next pond I'll have to make it harder for the water to get into the pond it's pretty hard but when the storm like that came, it just flooded and then we got mud.... it'll go away in a day or so.

Have your grandson come set the date on your camera, it's not 2008 anymore sis. But WoW that's a hard rain.

I set the date 6 or 7 times and it won't stay set .I gave up on the date thing .I have a new camera but it does not seem to want to allow me to use the pics on the pond sight .My new great grandson arrived on the 16th of june

Any idea why some lilly blooms are so high out of the water...and this is after about two inches of rain this past week

I have some lilies that stand out of the water, and some that float on the water. The Colorado always has its blooms up and out of the water.

Well mr small heron came back today, trying to fish from the edges. It won't catch much if any except some small fish that hang out at the edges.

Green or night heron, not sure did not see it long enough.

and the first waterlily bloom of the year is from one of the unpotted lilies I decided to keep in Spring.

Next to the pond I have my Blue-eyed Grass and Orange Milkweed.

and, of course, Bush's Coneflower.

@JBtheExplorer - that exact coneflower showed up as a volunteer in my garden last year. I had no idea what variety it was until now! thanks!

There are four ponds down there, mrs deer was have a snack..........a bit of window reflection, shooting through it..

birds are good at pooping out seeds. I have cone flowers showing up everywhere, ones I never planted and ones that I did.
