There's snow in the Seattle area today - not a regular occurrence here but a welcome change for a day or two.
I am a first time pond guy....Donald and Hillary have been in the pond for close to a month.....but what fascinates me is their movement with temperature change...four days ago water temperature was 45...today 55.....today moving faster grazing on algae....Fish are awake today and ate a bit with the water temp at 47.

I have read so many conflicting articles about feeding Koi when the temperature is low....but the consensus I get is don't feed them until the water temperature is above 50 degrees for a long period of time.....I have my wheat germ food ready but haven't fed any yet because of the temperature swings. Your opinion please.....JimmyWater temp 55 and Koi = need to feed a bit of wheat germ food imo.
I know my goldfish would file a complaint.
