I’m a little late to this post but I bought a kit from them and it’s great. Check out my profile for my pond build post. It wasn’t without problems trying to build it myself but I haven’t changed my water at all and I only have to clean out my skimmer and pump basket once a month or less. I have 7 goldfish and one koi they are doing great now. The only problem I have is algae but that’s my fault for not getting more plants right away. Best choice I ever made compared to my previous pond which was high maintenance. Feel free to ask me anything you need to know but the triplets are very helpful if I have an issue they know just what to do.
How much was the kit and what size is your pond?

I have had that system in my 3000 gallon pond for about 6 years with Helix life support filter. Always clear water, have installed a short piece of 4" PVC for a clean out (run submersible pump backwards through under gravel system periodically). Did replace early ugly white wagon wheel bioballs with black round sponge filled ones)... no issues.

Sorry for the late response I got a custom kit 20x20 liner my pond is about 4 ft deep including 6” gravel and 12 x 11 foot wide. I added a stream and bog later. I will say at least in my case because I built the pond myself that it cost more than just the price of the kit which was maybe $3600 but i think all in it cost closer to $10,000 I had some plumbing errors to fix and my bog was extra and lights and some other stuff. They tell you you don’t need anything other than what’s included in the kit but you do need gravel and plumbing that’s not included and extra glue maybe if the are building it it will be better. I would definitely do it again though. I was checking my skimmer filter and my pump filter often because it gets windy here and I placed my pond under a tree but I finally got a net installed over the pond before fall and I haven’t had to do anything since September 2023. Very low maintenance pond very happy so far.

It's amazing how fast money can dissappear into a hole in the ground. My matrix bog ran me 6000 and I had some of the materials. Like half the aquablocks, And snorkel.

Hey guys,
I had a consultation with Eric Triplett, the pond digger, and he mentioned an under gravel suction filter. In looking into these it seems like the way to go. Does anyone have any experience with this type of filter?
I do them exclusively. Anything else is a muck pond
