Well if I do that I should just go all out right? lol..build big and worry about him later he he..I am still thinking on this, hubby suggested just making current pond bigger but I like the idea of koi pond and goldfish pond separate, I am complicated.

The only thing is don't save money when it comes to the liner that should be the #1 thing .Other things you can upgrade to as you go along .Thats how I did it ,being retired you learn to save and budget

ebay has some decent pumps for a good price.... if you can be happy with a7' x 7' x 3' deep pond a 15' x 15' pond liner will do...a 20' x 20' will allow a 12' x 12' x 3' deep. the 15' liner can reach a pond volume of just under 1100gals the.. the 20' liner can get to 3200 gals....these numbers are with straight down walls, and a flat bottomed pond
the $250.00 ballpark is the average price range for a 20'x20' delivered......
youve really asked aloaded question....too many variables. what size pond are you looking to get out of this venture? will you be happy with a 7'x7'x3' pond? its over a 1000 gals. and theres a nice price difference

Yeah I know it was a loaded question but I really wanted to know my options  I am thinking the 12x12x3..more gallons, more room for fish= happy fish.

I always buy the extended warranties for the extra 5 to 10 dollars peace of mind .It starts after your original warranty expires

i have all tetrapond pumps all atleast 4 years old and all perform great. my 1200 gph pump is 7or 8 years old and does what its supposed to still... as i said in another posting ..almost 2 years ago i dropped and broke the armature on my 425 gph pump. never got around to ordering the part and fixing it...the armature is in 3 pieces and the pump still runs.luckily the smaller piece fits up inside the magnet sleeve. i sometime have to smack it to get it started but it still runs.

One other thing to consider is what is the amperage on your outlet and wiring. If you add a second pump and possible UV's you will need to make sure you are not pulling too much amperage. And sometimes the power line you have going outside is running stuff inside. It is one of those things that is easily forgotten.
