@Magzire , most likely the reason why your water is "gin clear" is cause your bacteria product was "eating" the floating waste particulates and chemicals that created the water turbidity. This "eating" makes the bacteria multiply.
Once the turbidity is gone, there is no food for the bacteria... Bacteria die off... Water turbidity and ammonia begins to increase...
...so then... process repeats...
You dose with your bacteria product... they multiply (to store the nutrients) while consuming your ammonia and reduces water turbidity... water is "cleansed" and, due to lack of food, bacteria die releasing their nutrients storage... Ammonia and water turbidity increases...
....so then... process repeats...
You dose with your bacteria product... etc etc...
