Water temperature for fish?

Put your thermometer in the shallow water where the pond gets the most sun. Jot a note
Put the thermometer in the deeper area. Jot a note

If you can find temps in the 70f-90f range they will cope. Keep an eye on the pond before dawn to see if oxygen levels stress the fish during hot spells...

A perky mist spray at that time will pep them up if oxygen levels slump

Ideal temperatures are 15 to 22 degrees C and in a pond can go down to about 6 degrees C during the winter months so long as they have no ice on the pond.

I hope no one tells my fish this...
