i swear if electricity wouldnt cost me an arm and a leg i would buy some grow lights and try growing some pond plants in there but i dont think theres very many that would do well indoors unless someone knows of any that dont require lots of light if anyone does please feel free to let me know and ill give them a try

Nice. I grow duckweed pretty well under fluorescent light in my tanks. They're simple plants and very good at filtration.

I have hornwort and anacharis growing great in my indoor tank. I stuck one of my pond led lights in the water shining up from the bottom. The tank has not been cleaned since I set it up about 4 months ago (just tetras) and the water still tests out perfect. I have a forest of plants in it now. Just took this, pile of missy toys in front of it lol
Also have a good air pump running air at both ends of the tank.



When I had goldfish in the tank it was constant cleaning.

I will be cleaning it today as it is raining outside so I can still not groom our lilies.

My goldfish love to eat the duckweed but it does make a mess of the tank (grows in a tropical tank as any of it in a goldfish tank or pond gets eaten)

Java fern grows well in low light but grows slow (atleast for me) It will attach to rocks or driftwood

Check your local aquarium shop for cryptocoryne species, commonly sold as 'crypts'. They will grow well with very little light.

thanks for all the suggestions im gonna look into it a little more i have some pretty lrg fish in there some over 20 inches so would have to be some pretty sturdy plants or they would probably just rip them up from there pots
