@brokensword Does it only work on PC’s? I use my iPad.
I have a Mac, so it was made on a Mac, but it should easily cross over to PC, too. Did you drag it to your desktop, then drop it from there onto a brower to test? Should work. Then when you post, do the same thing; drag it into your reply box. You have to hold it a second or the browser you're replying in will just open it all by itself. I find holding it and waiting a couple seconds, then releasing, puts it in my reply, like so...courtesy of the QAG!

well, I couldn't get it to work as a signature, so I just keep it handy and drop it in my reply. I asked Ian but he didn't have any secret sauce!

Did you actually get it to stick in your signature? If so, I'm all ears as I tried multiple options, including using the 'code' setting; all I ever got was the url of the anigif, be it from my site or from my media, here.

Hope you liked!

Oki Doki, i just like natural things on ponds...for that mine will be a jungle just because missing space for bog.

Nuuuu, no dark corners for ya, ill bring you a light and bring you in shinier land :D eh eh eh
Love the spinning knight!
Thankee, Dime; that was courtesy of j.w -- she couldn't find a 'broken sword' so I grabbed what she had. I'll probably take some time to actually create a 'breaking -- reforging sword' anigif, maybe this winter sometime as I wind down my season!

A jungle, hey? You'll be good friends then with @addy1 , our Boss, who likes to think LAP is a religion!

heh heh

If you don’t have a bog I would avoid big fish. You’ll eventually just get more weed as fish make nutrients that feed the weed. A bog will consume those nutrients.

@brokensword iPad, as in tablet. How do I do it with an iPad?
hmm, I'd think you'd still just click, hold, move. But I suppose copy and paste should also do it.

[edit; just tried on my iPad2 and it seems it only copied the url, not the image, which is what I think you need to do. Went looking on google and didn't see an easy fix. Have you ever put animated gifs on posts here before? If so, it should be similar once you get the anigif on your iPad. Maybe someone here on GPF who is also using an iPad (something a lot more modern than mine and is more learned than me) can help out? I'll do more research but you use your iPad probably a lot more than me and if you've ever got an image onto it, if you can do the same here, should be easy peasy after that!]

[edit#2; found this, maybe it'll help. https://ihax.io/play-gifs-iphone-ipad/ ]

worst case scenario, just screenshot the anigif and insert that with your post like a regular pic. Hopefully someone will know the secret to this, though that link above might do it. I don't have a modern iPad and don't use the one I have much at all except for reading GPF by the pond, so do most of my posts on the computer.

Hello and welcome ;)
Any pics?
In my opinion is better wait the end of winter/start spring to add fishes...just useless to put em now that the temperature will fall.
Not any products, but only add more plants and "cover" the water surface with floating plants or lilies(or similar plants)(like 60% of the surface) to fight against the weeds/algae reproduction.
With right balance of these and fishes population you could stay w/o a filter.

And, coz some here and me too are promoter of that, if you got space you should make a "bog filter" that is more efficient than "only plants".
I think you just answered my question too, im in a similar place to the lady you advised about her ponds needing plants. I do have fish already but wasn't sure how to balance the water so they have oxygen and food if needed as I must stop feeding soon.

Hi, with dropping of the tempertures fishes' metabolism will slow down and fishes can stop eat at all or almost...
For oxigen you need oxygenating plants and surface movement with air bubble or pumps to increase as max the oxigen exchange between water and air, the last 1 is prolly(probably) the best because plants give oxigen during the day, but need oxigen during the night.
