I use microbe lift pl all spring and summer. I find it works great. Someone told me for removing the algae , their algaway works great too. Their products are all natural , thats why i use them. I have used algacides in the past and have killed fish. Ever since i been using microbe lift etc i havent lost any fish and they been so healthy and water quality has been great.

Our skippy filter was put in about 4 weeks ago so I know its getting its bio filter going. Its very green right now. You can see very faint shadows of the fish when they are at the shallow bottom but not in the deeper part. The shallow is 2 ft and the deep if around 4 ft deep. Yesterday we put quilt batting in the skippy filter and we did notice a little difference.
How about giving the skippy time to come up to speed. The suspended algae is taking care of the ammonia the filter can not yet handle. If you kill of the algae with the UV get out the test kits to be sure you are not getting an ammonia or nitrite buildup.

I know I have ALOT to learn. I knew the green water was a process it had to go through with the bio filter but didn't realize it helped that much. I can give it time, Its just been very frustrating here where we live its rained ALOT the past 2 to 3 weeks and have not been able to even get out there and finish the landscaping part. I so want to have all that done and sit and enjoy.

There is a good chance the rain is adding nutrients to your pond which just makes the water all the greener.

If you can figure out how to do it send some rain down my way. So far all we have gotten are insults. Just enough to let us know that it is possible but not enough to help.
