Eggs can come in on frogs also .I had that happen and had it happen on plant roots in my stock tank
its true , i will share my experience of mollies , i had pond long time ago which had different types of molys like golden , white , black etc , they cross bred and after few generations there size became random some would stay small and there colour was getting grey , they were all messed up lol i was expectingi wud get new mixed colours , it did happen but just for 1 or 2 spawnsHi,
It looks like you're getting cross breeding. Koi and Goldfish can produce young, but they tend to be sterile. The results can also be... interesting
I started with 3 goldfish, and added koi, and i have some *very* interesting fish now. It's cool to see what turns up each year
Unfortunately, with time, you'll also get genetic defects due to cross breeding a small population size, which shows up as tumors, malformed fish etc....
You might also find these black fish turn gold later, or keep some of the black markings.
Cheers,
Andy.
