Underlayment Question

Well, the really huge tarp we got to keep rainwater out will work well as an underliner. May have to drag out the DUCT TAPE for a few spots. Plus, found a big sheet of stuff similar to weed-block that I used for an earlier project that will work as well.

I wouldn't duct tape anything, in fact, I would cut some slits in it in as many places on the tarp as you can. That way water cant become trapped between the liner and the tarp you use for underlayment.

I wouldn't think so, no more than if roots grow up through our carpet pad.
