Kind of amazing. Early in the season I was dumping the skimmer basket every few days. Now that the plants have grown in, they stop anything from hitting the skimmer and I can let it go two weeks....

I've had the same experience. Early in the season I have to rinse the matala filter pads in the skimmer almost daily. But after the plants start covering the water, I rinse them maybe once a week. Plants are a ponder's friend!
