cork is also a great insulator also . I put rolls of cork down under my vinyl plank floors and then insulated underlayment . Great idea and you can make it also look like wood without being wood by getting thick cork and carving it out . Bad thing is if you have critters it gives them a way to get in the pond and possibly not able to get out

With mine can be a safety island for critters that fall into pond, enough grip

I had a floating island in my pond and stray cat fell in and island kept flipping when the cat tried to crawl back onto it and I had to rescue him with my pond net . I looked at my security cameras and realized the island was what he used to start with to get in the mess he was in . So I removed the island . I was lucky I heard the camera warning that shows which camera the warning was coming from . Never want to deal with a pissed off cat again . man he was mad and tried to claw me when I got him out as he got tangled in my pool net and also ruined it . New net 19 dollars and lesson learned

If something fall into my pond, is a natural one, so can crawl from the edge w/o problem.

Afer 1 month n half moss is growing, ill wait warmer temp to check creeping genny...but the log is moisted
