Thanks, will do.
First priority is to get the land levelled and compacted (before this is done I will have a 200 mm pipe put in a trench through which later I can slip in the 110mm BD pipe and airhose) then dig the hole for the fishpond. As the basins for the bog filters are shallow and slightly higher than the fishpond I'll dig them out the hard way and use the soil to build up the edges/berm.
Considering framing the top edges with some pre-stressed concrete posts laid flat.
Anyway will take it one step at a time and check with you folks if I am doing ok

Need your advice about another thing, I can get a liner in a single sheet, about 23' wide and 44' long but it would weigh about 250lb and I am on my own so will be really difficult for me to handle.
So I was wondering if I could do the liner for the fish pond as one piece and the ones for the bogs as two separate pieces overlapping and welded to the fish pond one

With the bog higher than the pond you can do that. Just have your edge high enough to stop any wicking of the water between the two pieces of liner. Where I have waterfalls I have the liner just coming down and overlapping the pond liner. My bog and pond were all one liner, but my wall is low.

I have a very low drop between a small liner pond and my lotus tub. To stop wicking I put a bit of wood to cause a air break. That stops the water from wicking up the liner. This drop is only about 1.5 inches.

All of my waterfalls have no pl roofing stuff, I use that mainly for the pipe outlets from the stock tanks to the big pond. Even the stream with all its switchbacks, cut pieces of liner are just overlaps. All around a foot or more in overlap. Also used the pl to fix a hole I put in our 1000 gallon stock tank. I drove the tooth of the bucket right into the side...........lol Fixed it with pl around 7 years ago still holding well.

We used a separate liner for our bog/waterfall and another for the pond. Just make sure the bottom liner comes up and under the other liner far enough that it will stay put, and then the top liner overlaps by a good number of feet and you'll be fine!

So the digger arrived bright and early this morning, started levelling the site and within 1/2 hour we had already found and torn the water mains, as I believe is customary on any self respecting pond dig! Having called out the utilities company and fixed the issue we could resume work, tomorrow we dig the actual pond, that has grown to 7x4 meters

Looks like it will be a good size pond with some depth. The only disadvantage i have with the deeper pond as mine is 6 foot +- is in vacuuming /cleaning .

That can work sure it will just cost you a couple extra bucks for overlapping amounts of rubber . i will caution you that is one place i had made an error . I over sized the pond and i had tons left. so when it came to order for my bog i listened to the calculators over all depth x2 x length of the pond plus a foot on each side and width x 2 of the depth x width + a foot overlap each side. I wish i had the over lap like i did in the pond so when the bog lifted due to roots taking up space and water rising i could have built up the bog edges and even raised the waterfall. i know it sounds like a lot but i would oversize by 3 feet on all sides it would alow for the issues listed and some that may come up down the road.
