I did some snorkeling in Jamaica. By the time all the others got off the boat (small boat) I was sea sick. I went in anyway and the tropical fish over the reef were phenominal. Unfortunately I didn't have a camera for underwater use.
We had some friends that did have an underwater camera. Hopefully I will have some photos to share after I get back to work in January.

You mean you use the cruise ship as your dive boat? I didn't know that was possible. Do you have an underwater camera? If so do you ever post your pictures? Would love to see them if you do

It is a great way to get to a bunch of islands to dive. As a aging diver, I don't do the 4 dives a day I used to do. Two is fine. You pay for the excursion, get off the boat, get met by the dive operators, dive, get back on the boat and have a great dinner waiting..........lol
I find the dive operations set up by the cruise ship tend to be more protective of the divers with them.

And then you cruise to the next spot. We had a cruise last summer that went to 4 islands that had great diving, Jamaica, Rhotan, Belize, Cozumel. They are very protective of their reefs, the reefs are beautiful.

We have thought of doing a all inclusive trip that includes diving, i.e. go to a resort on a island. Just have not gotten around to that yet.

I have great underwater pictures. I will get some loaded to share. I used to have a dedicated underwater camera with dual flashes.............sold it when I married a non diver.
Now have an Olympus point and shoot, water proof, that is good for down to 30 feet, I have a case for it that lets me take it diving deeper. The flash could be stronger, but it still does well with shots.

Luckily I don't get sea sick dr dave. We go out on the ocean all of the time in our Florida boat.

We both love the water.

Neither I nor my DH have ever done any diving and I don't think we ever will but we might consider the snorkeling thing in not too deep of water and yes I would love to see all of you guys pictures. It's so beautiful looking on tv but in real life I bet it's gorgeous under there
