The Tesla will have heat for 2 days at full charge.

A gas powered car runs out at the 35 hour range.

There are so many factors it can't be nailed down. The only common factor is it sucks both ways.

No the truth is it takes 240 metric tons if I'm not mistaken on average of stripTo m mining. " that is where there is NO ENVIROMENT LEFT ITS ALL DESTROYED. To make just the battery alone.
But wait that's the good part when the battery dies in 8 to 10 years . It's way to expensive to recycle them so they go to the toxic waste dump.
So if you start from scratch . Not when both vehicles are built. The electric will surpass the combustion engine in 240,000 miles in being green .
I do a lot of driving and have often hit 1500 to 180,000 miles on my vehicles don't think I want a car over 250000.

Our home building needs a major overhaul. Lots that are sloped are less attractive but can be far more energy efficient. A dirt roof with vegetation can last in definately. A home built into the hill side will see temps constantly at 50 degrees compared to hot or cold on 5 sides

Most of the strip mining is for coal and its 100% non recovered there are 5 EV battery recycling plants up and running now. Now that's not to say anything is better but it's has to start. At least Tesla has a battery return policy in place. 50 states have laws about EV battery recovery and batteries are estimated to last 23 years now. We should be complaining about the state of the world we are giving to our children.

The biggest problem is people fear what they have little knowledge about, while others follow the leader blindly.
If we insured the driver of a car and not the car other than if it has a loan. people could buy commuter cars and not drive the 6 or 8 seater they need for the family.

But NUKES are the best we still have to date. Chernobyl was said to be inhabitable for a 1000 years and in under 40 years people are living in the area and wildlife like deer are enormous
