Taking them from my modile and off c.c.t.v. as you can see there is great coverage of the pond the sun doesnt get into the pond till late afternoon .
However you get the idea

Did not realize your pond was above ground. Looks great my friend!
Yes Big Lou its an above ground pond its acctually better that way for us for one we can sit above the pond plus any visitors can stand around the pond to admire the koi from eye level.
Its thanx to the above ground design we can also insulate the pond around the pond itself and in the fish housing .

Theres loads to do though big Lou, the wooden koi co koi to go around the pond and the back wall of the house, [johan have you ever come across these before as they grace any pond ]? .

The pond as well as the filter housing is to be stained then painted.
Much of the downed Yuka in the background behind the filter housing to be removed anti weed matting then gravel to be laid beds to be planted a skip hired etc.
So as you can see Jeff has his work cut out for him these next few months

Today Jeff was hard at it again, this time it was the turn of the back supporting wall which Jeff raised by one more teir of breeze block so that we can back fill any rubble and spoil pior to the gravel being laid .
Tomorrow the side wall is to be completed leading up the side of the steps into the garden .
