Thanksgiving day rescue

I used to catch them, then release. I did have a 100lb python until I donated it to a school.

We resisted with my son until a couple years ago when we got him two corn snakes, now even my wife and I are hooked.I was always worried how much feeder mice would cost until I realized it's pretty cheap overall.
He has 4 snakes now and I have one. They are much cheaper to keep than a dog or even a guinea pig and just hang out in their enclosure. The corns got lose back in the spring, found the one immediately, the other showed up on the boy's bed that evening.

We got to a local reptile show once a month to buy all our feeders, there is one breeder who has just Burmese and Retics, they have to be some of the most beautiful snakes at the show. We want one, but just way too big, even the new Dwarf Retics still get 8-12 ft.

I have a girlfriend who breeds them. She keeps somewhere in the neighborhood of 70-80 snakes. Not my favorite creature but I do admire them.
