Youtube has videos on some really cool indoor ponds. That chair looks prefect to snuggle in on winter day watching fish in your indoor pond.

I have learned when it comes to PITA projects, a little cash buys a lot of teenage muscle.

LOL Yeah I probably could have done that but I really wanted to do it all myself.
Unless it fails miserably then I'm hiring someone to lay tile over the whole mess and call it a day...

Ok so update. I got the roof fixed (I hope), I got the floor stripped of paint and caulk, I have painted some of the pots, and I dug trenches yesterday to caulk the outside.
My hands are all torn up and my butt hurts from sitting on concrete for hours but I'm really hoping it'll be worth it when I'm finished.

I've decided to paint the floors with a latex porch and concrete paint. Has anyone had any experience with this?

Wish me luck or send me wine!
Oh and I have another Lotus bud keeping me company!

Friend of mine opened a antique mall in a old factory with cement floors. He painted the floors with porch and concrete paint. He was surprised how well they held up in high traffic areas.

How to caulk: Run a smooth bead of caulking along the wall.

How I caulked: Goop a crap ton of sealant on the wall and smear with a putty knife. Try and make it look like a drunkard was icing a cake while making sure to smear it on your arms legs and even your right ear.

We brought home some paint samples for a remodeling project we have planned. I took the lid off the first one, painted a swath on the wall, put the cover back on and looked at my hands - PAINT ON BOTH OF THEM! Hence the reason I garden - you're expected to get dirty!

Lol I'm good at getting dirty but even the hubby was super impressed with my ability to get almost as much caulk on myself as I did on the walls.
Did you get someone else to finish the paint or just dip yourself in and rub against the walls?
Ohhh that's how I should have caulked now that I think about it.

I thought that's how everyone caulks? Never goes the way they tell you in the instructions or like those YouTube vids!
