string algae and heat

Addy I get string algae in my creeks and they are flowing 24/7, I think it grows better with moving water but I don't have any scientific evidence of that. However I am now getting some of this other slimy algae in my bog where it is about 1" deep. That stuff is a PITA to get out.

I get the slimy stuff off and on, it comes it goes, come goes lol. Only where there are no plants. I just ignore it.
