Nice job. Don't you wish you had pictures of the original pond? Would be fun to compare then and now.

I have only been in the house a year, the neighbor said the original pond was in a garden magazine at one point. He has lived there since 1980s. When he moved in it was already filled in, but more of the top of the feature was still intact than it is today.

it would be nice to track down photos

Wow. Maybe I wouldn't want to see the before pictures..... I would be afraid I wouldn't measure up to the before! :)
It looks like a very nice place to sit and relax. Enjoy all your hard work.

I also built two simple but functional benches for the pond. Got the wood in the 70% off damaged section. Cost me $15 for the wood. took about an hour to build. I also stained them and need to put a clear coat on. The photo is before they were stained

I think the whole story start to finish through photo's very complelling to look at you begin to imagine just what it would look lke only to find that @houseguitarshop is ahead of you in doing so.;)
Then from the ruins of a clapped ou old pond a new one slowly emerges until the finished artticle the pond itself is shown in its full glory both at night as well as at day .
A nice little project houseguitarshop well done in your inventiveness :notworthy::notworthy:

a few more pictures of plants, there are some submerged plants that are doing well. The Cory Cats are the most fun to watch. The mosquito fish must like it, now there are lots of little mosquito fish! A butterfly visited while I was taking photos
