Those pictures don't look like black and white, it looks like your camera is set on "sepia" mode.
I feel bad for your trout but I can't help enjoying the various wildlife that visits a pond.

Yesterday morning, my wife chased away an Osprey, which was on the bank of my lower pond. That means he was eating a fish. They dive down from the treetops. So far this year, I have removed 6 fish with Osprey marks, out of my upper pond.

I'm curious as to what on earth are 'loons'? I would however recognise a moose if I saw one at my pond!

Ah, divers as they're called on this side of the pond! Thanks for the info. Nice looking birds, but I would still rather see a real live moose!

As long as it's not on a highway at night! They can do a LOT of damage to a vehicle, since their long legs place the body mass right at the windshield level.

So, I was cleaning pine needles out of my lower pond today. I saw some fresh tracks. All of a sudden the dog started barking fiercely by the live trap. I spotted something black inside. I was thinking mink. It turned out to be a huge, coal black house cat.

Hello
Otters can swim all your fish would not have a chance.

That track looks more like a raccoon to me.

Any chance you can do some fencing or a strong net over pond.

I have caught 2 raccoons with the live trap. The fish have been doing fine since. Fingers crossed. The pond is too large to net.
