One visual i see is there doesn't appear to be much hight from the top of water level in the bog to the top of the liner that will become an issue to keep an eye on as the bog grows lots of roots

Yes, I agree, I should’ve added at least another timber. Hindsight is always 20/20!
I have a lot of liner left over, I’m already thinking of adding another layer and raising it.
