I never used a timer with my aerators, just ran them 24/7. I did swap out the big one for a smaller one during winter months.
Hope they don't find your pond!just got a shock from the mail lady Tery a pic of 4 huge bears 2 houses away . I did notice yesterday claw marks high up on a tree . I thought to myself that they were not deer marks looking up at them . Claw marks are claw marks
Think about a wet dog or something left out in the rain for too long day after day. smells like a soil thats on the edge of becoming a moldy coat MOSS AND MOLD can be found in the fur be it grew there or just trapped they can stinkI didn't know bears had a distinctive smell. It sounds like you've some experience with bears and know to be careful.
