Can't wait to get my camera replacement! Found it on about half price from Sears on-line yesterday, so went for it. Free shipping, too, so could not resist. Fixing it (zoom won't work, probably got a speck of dirt/dust in it ...) was going to cost $90-120, and I got new one for $85 tax included!
Here is a damselfly on the tiny pale blue lily I got from I think Larkin last fall, kept the plant inside all winter, and it's now blooming. Have to go look to see if this is a tropical, or hardy!

And, decided to take a few pics of what the ponds look like from a frog's point of view. Liked it!

I just got shipping info on my replacement camera I bought (when my good camera zoom quit working). It's on the way, should arrive on Wed. Oh happy day!!! I'll be able to capture bugs and frogs and birds and so forth with much more clarity again.

I do realize it's summer now, and this post maybe doesn't pertain to "spring" photos, but since I started the thread .... :blueflower: ... here is the "meaning" of spring in my opinion! Anytime you see a robin, you think of springtime. This robin, on the top of the shed roof, is fully loaded to feed her babies. Can you see them in the tree?

How about now? LOL

Check out how many worms Mom or Dad has for them! The recent rains we have been getting off and on all weekend sure are making their hunting easy!

Here are some pics I took today of flowers in my yard. Enjoy.
Baloon flower and then pic of the bud which gives it the name balloon flower.

Black swallowtail (although not fully in focus, sorry) on a Liatris. They seem to love these tall spikey flowers even more than the butterfly bush.

OK, I think these photos are FINALLY going to download. In between rains this past weekend, I went out in macro and super macro mode on my camera, looking for tiny things you usually do not see, unless you look very closely. Here's what I found!
Baby grasshopper (about 1/4" long), baby praying mantis (less than 1/2" long), black swallowtail butterfly, bumblebee on cone flower ...

Yep, I thought that was a cool looking spider. Here are some more spider pics (the third pic, the spider is the size of a pinhead, if that!), last pic is an empty web, until evening:

And some flower pics: Bee balm; Caladium that I grew from bulbs, blooming; cattails blooming (Cape, this one's for you!); double peach hibiscus and an orange hibiscus:

My hardy hibiscus I bought last year is coming back with a vengeance! I stopped counting at 150 flower buds. Wow, can you imagine the show it will put on if even 50 of them bloom at the same time??? It's a deep red in color. I've been using weak fertilizer solution when I water it, which is about 3x a week now.

Wow CE can't wait to see those buds when they open! Will be beautiful!
I'm wondering now if my Hibuscus is ever going to get buds. It sure does not grow fast here and our Summers are short. They better hurry up or all will be lost. Neat looking MJ type leaves tho :cheerful:

I look every day to see if any blooms are getting ready to open. Tonight I see 3 that the green case is splitting and I can see the deep red flower petal, so hoping this weekend it will begin.

CE your plants are awesome. I wish the things I planted did that well. My soil up here on the mountain isn't that great, even tho I fertilize things my plants still grow slow. Like JW my summer is also short. I also have the deer to deal with. I was sitting here on the deck by the pond and a doe was 50 ft away from me eating in my yard. Tonight she will be back for the good stuff. :(

Mt I thought when you said that doe was eating in your yard and then I started to read "Tonight she will be back for the good stuff"...........I thought you were going to say "Tonight she will be on my table and I will be eating the good stuff"
