Pondmaster mag supreme 24 running solid for 12 yrs 24/7. It's been stuck in a pull up tub w/ fiber media wrapped around it used as a filter and water sent to the falls from there. That fiber gets muck built up big time in it and that pump keeps on ticking!

I think some pumps fail because of handling and abuse .i know mine I keep in a bucket of lava rock and I think that may be what helps a pump last longer .It does not have to work as hard if you keep it clean .I had a becket pump i did not protect it was in a stock tank and it burned out because a small stick got stuck in the impellar and it was like the size of a tooth pick but longer and it got through the cage and i never use those foam filters .I was going to put it in a crate or bucket and just forgot .It was a pump I got from an abandoned pond i took out ,so free .But still should not have happened .

Tsurumi pump is now 20 yrs old and still going. I did get a new one several yrs ago to increase the waterfall flow but both are still going strong. I use the original to clean pond in the spring and again in the fall to keep skimmer functioning for leaves . The new one is my waterfall pump. I do only use them from about May to Nov. and store them in water buckets in basement.

I'm surprised they don't sell replacement parts.
I have always been able to find replacement ceramic shafts and impeller parts for my mag drive pumps. I have used different brands over the years. They are usually sold in kits.
