Redoing my lilys

I groom and add fertilizer in the fall, 1/4 cup of osmocote on the bottom of the pans. It has not caused any issues over winter.

Glad to know I can do this in the fall. Mine needs to be divided.

All of my poor lilies need fertilizer, kitty litter some tender loving care. They will get it soon, The deer have yanked more out of the pots while snacking on the leaves.

Another update here. I repotted my 3 small lily tubers July 27, in kitty litter. They have exploded with leaves, ;probably about 300 now, and one is blooming. Not the other 2 though. Just tons of leaves. They cover 1/4 of my pond.

I used the cheap clay cat litter from WalMart, red bag, about $4 for 20 lbs. And I used a slow release fertilizer like Osmocote, on the bottom of the pot, in the middle of the pot and a sprinkle on the top layer, mixed in a bit. Those 3 little Lowe's lily tubers have about 300 leaves now. All in one pot, but will separate them in Fall and replant in individual pots, no drainage holes.

Just brought mine to the winter home and divided it's fun to see them in my pond tank boy they grow fast. Here is 4 days growth from a fewlonger leaves.
