hi, i am making a small pond and waterfall for my sister but i am not sure what size pump to use. the pipe length is 3 meters and 1 meter high, it needs to be more than a trickle but i do not want to get one that is twice the power needed and costs more. can any one advise me on which size pump i need to get. i was thinking of 2000 LTH.

cheers

your running about. 1.3 m of head
if the falls will be 1 foot wide or 30- 31 centimeters you would want about 150 litres per cm... so 4500 - 500 lph would make a decent falls... 2000 lph is 528 gph is a mere trickle at 1 foot or 31 cm wide..
it all depends on what affect your after. but this ought to give you a starting point
