First time ponder so I have no experience with any given brand of pump. I’m nearing completion of the build and it’s time to get the pump that matches my needs - ~2,300 GPH at 9’ of head.

I’d prefer to go asynchronous/mag-drive to save on hydro. I’ve done a narrow search so far and came across a couple models:

Aquascape Aquasurge 3000
Laguna Max-flo 4280

Just wondering if anybody has experience with either of these pumps or the companies that make them or other companies/models all-together?
The Laguna Max-flo 4280 has a maximum of 2219gph at 9' of head, so doesn't meet your needs. Adding in the flow reduction of fittings, it probably won't work if you need 2300gph.

Use https://www.everything-ponds.com/head-pressure-wizard-advanced.html to calculate all your plumbing/fittings into the total reduction so you know how far over 2300gph your pump needs to be to actually achieve 2300gph.

I WOULD SUGGEST GOING WITH AROUND 4000 GPH and splitting the supply pumping some to the bog/ waterfall and have return jets creating circulation in the pond
