Pruning Lotus Leaves

Never prune my leaves- rotting leaves become food for the plant.

Noted. I will resist the urge to prune dying leaves from here on out

Can you bend the top over and tape it down with scotch type or painter's tape to keep the water out if it rains?

I could try but I think the tape would release the hold once it got wet. I tied the top with some yarn, so hopefully that will work.

Yeah... don't prune. Leave them be. I know they aren't pretty, but when your lotus gets big enough, you won't even see them.
