one question...what are the gph's on your pumps? you want the water to spend enouh time in the filter to allow the bacteria to do its job!! and i would start your system up with MICROBE LIFT PL GEL FILTER INNOCCULANT. fastest building bacteria you can find..

If I remember correctly it 640gph at zero head.
The pond is 18" deep and the filter will be at about another 18" so that would be close to 3' of head. At 3' of head its 460gph.
thats actually only 18" of head.. head starts at waters surface..not pump..but between the 2 filters you may be fine...so your splitting the pump into 2 hoses one thru a u.v then to the filter and the other directly to your filter?
Yes the pondmaster filter will be in the pond. The pump will feed the uv light which in turn will dump into the 5 gal bucket & the other outlet of the pump will go directly to the 5 gal bucket
