Wow those are pretty, we do not get those here or at least I have not seen one yet and I watch the birds daily at out feeders.

Since our pond has been up and running for three short weeks we have had the following visitors we have never seen before:

- Male and female mallard took a dip and ate some grass around the pond.
- Scarlet Tanager

We have now had many bird taking bath including Robins, Catbirds, Goldfinches, Orioles and Cardinals. No photos though because I never have our camera close by.

Currently, they are only in a few specific areas in the U.S.
The most known area is around Chicago (Illinois, Wisconsin, Indiana, Michigan). I believe I've read that they're also in the New York/New Jersey area.

Oh my gosh. Why do they have to be so stinkin' cute?? The little marauders!

I love em. It seems like their population has gone up around here in recent years. They love running through the pond area. They'll stop and drink in the bog and run across the rocks along the pond and out the fence. They like planting sunflowers around the pond, too. :ROFLMAO:

I had to put my arm out to stop traffic the other day for a mama deer and her two babies crossing the road. They made it!
