When I was growing up we had a small parrot about 6" tall and green don't know the type, but he was the meanest little %^&tard. We kept his cage open almost all the time and when someone would come in the house he would climb off his cage across the floor (in front of the dog too, b/c he had attacked the dog a few times so he didn't want anything to do with the bird) up the chair or couch the person was sitting on then sit on the back of it by their head and when the person wasn't suspecting anything he would start biting the persons ears. He did this to my grandfather every time he came to the house, it was sort of funny except when it happened to you. When you tried to get him and put him in his cage he would bite you as well. Very mean bird.

That sounds like a Quaker parrot! Some can be so sweet but some can be mischievous and down right BAD! I have seen from one range to the other, the other very small parrot like that is the GreyCheek, They are usually very dosile and can be quite shy. Not a quaker, they are curious birds that have big attitudes, some good some not so good and by the way you say that it was funny until it happened to you. I have to think it's got to be a quaker!

Sissy, I am not a small dog person, and when the foster dog arrived, I had to laugh - Uh, long hair, small dog? LOL Anyway, he is the sweetest thing in the world. Hubby even said (after 1 day) "well, it wouldn't be bad if we got stuck with him for good". I couldn't believe it~!

I'm not looking forward to losing my Weimy mix, but, he is 15 and in failing health. He is my baby, and, it is going to crush me. For me though, next dog is going to be bigger, already researching Great Danes :)
