@callingcolleen1 how deep is it where your Hornwort floats? MIne is hanging on for dear life on the airline tubing otherwise I think it would get blown around and over to the pre-filter where it would get stuck. Hope my piggy goldfish don't eat mine up over winter. It took so long for it to get nice looking and now I fear I will have to start all over next Spring.

HOLY HORNWORT COLLEEN! That is a ton of the stuff you have there. Why doesn't mine grow like that? Maybe it likes a hotter Summer than we get. I haven't had it but for 1 year so maybe as the years go by it will grow more. Still looks like Summer there to me so hang on as maybe you will have a nice long warmer than usual Fall. That's what I'm hoping for here and so far so good! Such a pretty place you have made there w/your pond and gardens. Just love it and maybe one of these day hubby and I will get the stuff we need to come across the border and have a visit by your lovely pond.

Going to make a little fire and sit outside tonight and look at the solar lights. JW I would really love it if you came to visit. You are so down to earth I would most welcome you and be so glad to have you to my humble little home. I think the reason I have so much horn wort, is cause I have lots of excess nutrients in the water thanks to those really big koi. I also throw the excess horn wort from the bottom pond into the upper ponds cause the little fish do not eat it as fast as the bigger koi. It is hard to tell that the fish eat it cause it grows like a weed in my ponds. In the spring I will have next to nothing left, after the big hungry fish eat lots over the winter and spring months. But then the little pieces of horn wort that they rip and tear away will all regrow again. It is good to have lots of horn wort going into winter. The horn wort will drop to the bottom of the pond during the winter, and the fish will take refuge in the green forest and wait patiently till spring again...

Thanks Haver, and I see you missed me JW!! ha ha ha I am still here! Working on halloween stuff right now and just lazing in the sun these days. Trying to shake this cough, that flu I had left me with weak and with a bad cough.
Crazy sister still has not had her baby. I have not talked with her for a while cause her crazy thinking has driven me away. I cannot handle the fact that she thinks she does not need any special care to deliver this baby at home, alone, no doctor, no prenatel care, just "wing it" like some "vegan hippy" at the "over ripe" age of 51! Could she be any more insane! I just cannot handle her mental thinking, not to mention the "pee" thing too!

Then I have been working more hours these days at work, then there is the "ISIS Crisis" making non stop news, and Eblola, then the Pope said the other day that this is the start of World War III! Gloom and Doom, I should really get rid of that TV!

Just glad to hear all is ok and hope you get to feeling better fast from that mean old flu. I see you are keeping busy on you cool Halloween stuff we all so enjoy!
That baby is taking it's time cooking in there. I hope your sister will at least have you or someone there while she is trying to do this delivering business herself. Isn't she having a midwife?
Calm down on the disasters, nothing you can do but wait to see how everything plays out. Just remember God is in charge when it comes down to it all.

Yes. JW, we would sure get along well, seeing how I "like" all your posts! :joyful:

Well I am just so overly happy to report that summer is back, and it appears by the forecast that there is "no end in sight" to this nice warm mild sunny weather!!!

So I have gone back to feeding the hungry fish cause water has warmed up a little again. Today was a very nice day by the pond. Hubby came out to sit and relax by pond and I made a nice fire.... Halloween is Coming!!

Yes fix those pix..............getting a crick in my neck
Love them tho and looks like so much fun being in that outdoor room of yours w/all the spooky stuff :nailbiting:
Our weather went belly up, getting rain big time now. We really did need a good load of it. Now the grass will turn green again and we will need to mow the stuff. Then sun is coming back Saturday, perfect grass growing weather.
Glad you got the sun back, enjoy it while it lasts cuz I'm about to grab some back from ya :sneaky:
