Another deadly night feeder is a opossum. I had one take several Orandas and Black Moors out of a pond. The above wireless driveway alarm works great. I had a DNR person give me the best advise that seems to have worked for a long time now. Just like when animals mark their territory, if you do it as a human, they seem to not want to come around that area as much. LOL
