Wife hates the idea of a net.Thinks it takes away from the natural look of the pond.

She will hate that the fish go missing w/o one. You could somehow make a removable one that you could take off for viewing but that will be more work. I don't have one of those but maybe someone else does that can show your theirs.

Wide weave net you don't even really notice it. But you do notice the heron does not come by anymore. They still fly over our house, ponds and yard every day. A rookery is not that far from us as a bird flies.

an electric one !! 240v should frazzle the bloody thing. lol, ive recently been looking at transparent nets on the internet, designed for people who live in high rise flats with balconies and own cats. not sure yet tho, giving it some consideration.
