Mine's quite a bit bigger, has the pump inside as well.
Yours looks like the pump is plumbed in somewhere down the line.

I have an external pump, a t between the pond line and the skimmer line, with ball valves to control the flow. For the winter I pull the pump open all the lines, stuff the skimmer. Even with -15 last winter I did not lose any lines to freezing,......................whew................

So for the record, the pond is now frozen over thick enough so I can walk on it.
There will be no seeing the fish for another 5 months.

I feel very fortunate I can see my fish all year long. I bet you really miss them there Mitch.

Yes, but that's just the way it is. There's nothing I can do about it, that's why I have indoor aquariums.
The pond is too big to try to catch them and bring them inside.

Guess we live where we live cuz we choose to for one reason or another. Our families are here otherwise we may have moved long ago to a less rainy area.

Your place is way cool, love the nature, the wilderness,, Mitch, but my dear sweet honey would never survive the cold, he likes heat.

Sheesh we are never totally happy w/what we have. We get a little heat and a little snow but I'd like more of both but not too much. Hawaii would be nice or somewhere like that but too hard to get anywhere from an island unless of course we lived on a boat :)
