I remember buying the plant mid summer on clearance. I'm sure it had a tag, can't believe I didn't put it with the plant, or maybe it's there, just covered up since the plant is now about 2' across at the bottom. So, went out there, and it was like a jungle, trying to "part" the plant at the base to see to the ground, but didn't see any tag, darn it! Thought I might get lucky. Oh well, it looks like a bright yellow mini sunflower kind of.

A few current pictures of the pond and pond slope.............well maybe more than a few. Hope you enjoy

Almost everything I planted was for bees, hummingbirds, birds, butterflies.

This is the second wave of flowers, since spring, the third will be opening soon

Love the very first pic, with 2 bumble bees on the same flower! And, what is that burgandy and white star looking flower towards the end? Those are my favorite flower colors. Your bee balm is sure blooming great, and WOW, your lilies are in full bloom. Mine are just getting going. Hate that they bloom while I'm gone, and closed back up before I get home, only get to see them on the weekends. Glad I can envision what mine may look like in a week or two!

I believe that IS what it is, Addy! Now that I look closer, I see the leaves for the Asiatic lily. When I was at Sheetmetalman's house last night, he had a really cool colored one, too. Said Ann didn't like them, it was maybe a deep maroon and orange two-toned. Loved it! Yours is awesome, just so striking in color!
JW, when I got married, I wanted "The Rose" and "Footprints in the Sand", both very emotional songs, in my wedding. The lady that was going to sing for us, my fiance's aunt, had just a year before lost her young daughter, she was maybe 8 or 9, to a farm accident (she was riding on the front of a hay wagon, fell off and was run over by her dad ... sad sad SAD!) and she said those songs held far too much emotion for her to sing, she wouldn't be able to do them. So, I had to choose other songs. Thanks for bringing that song up! Still love that version the best. And, yes, I had the volume turned up and sang right along with her! Only my dogs to hear me. LOL

I thought I had commented on your big build before, but guess not. Ok well it's TOTALLY AWESOME, my 2 fav words lol. You really love the plants and shrubs. Myself I don't want to hide all the rock work as much as it was lots of work and sweat & $$$. But it's way cool to look at. Too bad about the heron netting all over. I bought netting and hated it. so I put up 2 scarecrow sprinklers and it hasn't returned since.

The netting I am using is not that bad, I used to use some deer netting, hated that stuff, too small holes. This stuff you don't really notice. The herons fly over every day, we have seen up to five. Think we are in their rookery path / feeding grounds. The path is right over our pond, very seldom deviates. They have not stopped by this year, but it is just not worth the chance.

We have so many plants that blow in the wind the sprinklers would be constantly going off.

I get to see the rock work all winter...........lol...........

Ooohh!! I would like some pink hibiscus seeds! I keep leaving my patio hibiscus out and they get frost on them and die. Not buying anymore of them! Cant wait for my dinnerplate dahlias to bloom.
