The day ended with father and son hugging. Proud of a job well done.

That was my favorite part of the whole story! We have three grown boys who always want to know "what do you need done mom?" We feed them and they work. All those years caring for them really pays off, doesn't it?

Yay happy you both enjoyed the day and each other and you got the pond perfected. Now onto the next project up your sleeve Lou. You know there is always something you need or want to do. We just can't seem to sit in the sun like a cat and let the clouds float by can we?

So right JW. Next project is something I can handle. Gotta repaint both deck floors and walkway. Already have the supplies.

We need to do something w/ our deck besides just power wash and put the usual cleaning stuff on it. I think we need a stain or something to pretty it up. Oh to be a kitty cat

Since our decks and walkways are so old we use high grade porch paint. Slate gray color. Way, way back on Cathy and Bonnie selected a deck stain color called Cherokee Red thinking the sample chip looked like a natural desert color. After the paint dried the deck glowed in the dark it was so reddish. We all had a really great laugh over that wacko selection.
