Yikes! Growing up in the deep country in South Alabama just a mile away from a river we had every snake imaginable. Even hooked a water moccasin while fishing. It stood straight up in the water. Also found a rattler crawling up our screen door as a very young boy. Guess my extreme exposure to these creatures is why I dislike them so much.

I think think the Buddha/Zen is just peaceful. Like we consider our ponds peaceful and tranquil. In my opinion. I think the 2 just go hand in hand. I personally have a frog theme around my pond.

WOW! Enjoying this thread, and all of your pond art is just great! I do have some things, but no pics to share. Once we get the pond/bog work completed and everything set back up, I'll share. But I have mostly turtles & frogs.

I like your frog, HARO!

I dont have any pond art just yet.. but I decorated my garden with little angels and fairies. Would love to have frogs in there too.
